Adventures in Recruiting: Set a Course for Smooth Sailing

15th Annual ASPR Educational Forum

August 10-13, 2008

The healthcare industry continues its tumultuous journey, and those of us who have chosen careers in physician recruiting are experiencing the challenges, frustrations, and rewards of our profession. In order for us to work in this evolving recruitment environment, we need to continually increase our skills and knowledge.

This 15th annual ASPR forum affords us the opportunity to meet with and learn from our peers. There will be informal conversations at breakfast, over lunch, and during breaks. Educational sessions will explore critical topics such as: the shortage of General Internal Medicine physicians, hospital leader expectations for recruiters, when recruiting means relocation--the value of working with a managed program, Stark, immigration, aligning with physicians to support our larger strategic goals, generational diversity, and much more. Additionally, you will have opportunities to visit with exhibitors representing services specific to recruitment needs.

Our “101” program is designed specifically for those new to the field or desiring a refresher course in physician recruitment techniques and approaches. This program has been expanded and revised in response to the overwhelming feedback from enthusiastic past participants.

The “201” program is designed to build on the experiences of the “101” program and to broaden and enhance your knowledge base for recruitment.
