The goal of Chapter and Regional Relations is to encourage the start-up of new in-house recruiter networks around the United States and Canada, and to enhance the effectiveness of existing groups through improved communication, coordination and joint projects. Chapters of ASPR are officially sanctioned by ASPR and thus have additional member benefits and responsibilities, but they operate independently from ASPR with their own incorporation, bylaws and officers. Selects topics and speakers for the annual conference held in the summer. Meets in the fall by teleconference on Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. CT for one hour until the program is set, then monthly up to conference.
The Fellowship Committee is responsible for designing and maintaining a comprehensive training and examination program for ASPR member physician recruitment professionals. The training program and examinations consists of three modules: 101 Associate, 201 Diplomate and 301 Fellow. The designation of Fellow of Association of Staff Physician Recruiters (FASPR) will indicate to members and to the general public that the individuals who have attained this status have demonstrated their mastery of the knowledge and expertise needed in the profession of physician and allied health provider recruitment and retention.
The goal of the Journal Committee is to publish a quarterly professional Journal to be used as a resource to ASPR membership and the healthcare community at large in regards to all topics related to in-house physician recruitment. This Journal includes articles which provide: industry updates, education, best practices and ideologies and legislative updates and proposals which have an effect on the practice of in-house physician recruitment.
The Membership Committee serves to develop and deliver programs that meet the changing needs of the membership. The Committee seeks to build further awareness of ASPR and to promote and facilitate opportunities for members that are career enhancing and will result in increased memberships and retention of members. This committee meets monthly on the second Thursday at 1:30 p.m. CT.
