Program Overview

In 2014, Carolinas Health Care System’s Medical Staff Services Department began the aggressive journey to restructure and redesign the credentialing process for their organization. The goal was to improve efficiency, transparency, and customer service by establishing a centralized verification process. A two- year strategic plan was developed and the Centralized Verification Office was fully implemented in January 2016 with a cost-savings of approximately $6 million dollars in the first year. Subsequently, there have been significant improvements in the area of timeliness of credentialing, ensuring that providers are enrolled with payors prior to receiving privileges, and customer service.

This webinar will provide details on how to establish credentialing process best practices as well as the opportunity to ask questions related to current credentialing process challenges.
