With 40 years in pediatric health, Robert Adler, M.D., M.S., exemplifies excellence in education through effective teaching, thoughtful mentorship, and innovations in the design and implementation of graduate medical education. Dr. Adler is Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California and at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, is Director of Medical Education at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and was one of only 15 delegates to the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education’s Residency Review Committee for Pediatrics for 6 years.

In his role as Director of Medical Education at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Dr. Adler has been instrumental in making this institution one of the most sought-after sites for pediatric training in the country. Under his leadership, 98% of pediatric residents have passed the Board examination, a rate substantially higher than the 80% national average. Additionally, Dr. Adler has a strong track record of developing clinicians who have gone on to successful careers and leadership roles throughout the United States.
