Program Overview

The purpose of this webinar is to share some of the experiences that we have had in starting or growing a physician recruitment department. Many of us are called upon to start, take over or develop often from scratch, a robust physician recruitment department. Regardless of the size of your team, growing a department can be a challenging and often rewarding experience, but in other cases it can be ripe with unforeseen challenges and unintended consequences. In today’s environment with; mergers and consolidations, the increased value of having an in house physician recruitment function, streamlining for efficiency, many physician recruitment professionals are finding themselves in positions where we have to take on roles outside of their comfort zone.

It is our intention to assist in building the frame work for a successful implementation, by not only providing some tools and resources, but insights into how to thrive within today’s  new health care environment. Through my 25 years of recruitment experience, with the last 12 as a physician manager, we will explore some of the lesson learned, battles to avoid and places to hold firm to your convictions.  Whether you are entering as a new recruiter, growing your department, taking over the recruitment function at a multi hospital system, or just considering changing organizations, we will look at the building blocks for developing a positive customer friendly recruitment culture, from sourcing to on-boarding through off boarding.
