From attracting candidates, retaining them, and pipeline development utilizing relationships with program directors, rural training tracks (RTTs), and precepting programs. Understanding the value of establishing RTTs and Precepting programs in order to establish candidate pipelines to rural facilities. Developing attractive incentives to meet provider needs. Nurturing relationships with practicing providers to increase retention and decrease burn-out.
Christy Bray Ricks is a Physician Recruiter, Senior Consultant at Banner Health. Covering multiple states in the Mid- and Southwest, she recruits for diverse and dynamic communities from rural to urban. Christy has extensive experience in the healthcare industry having served in administration and technical roles. She is skilled in physician relations, team building, process improvement, and management. Christy currently serves as Secretary for the MINK Board of Directors, Vice President for the SWPRA Board of Directors, and Secretary for the NWSPR Board of Directors. She greatly enjoys event planning and lends her expertise to several organizations. She previously served as Co-Chair of the Education/Conference Planning Committee for ASPR. Christy graduated with a BS in Health & Sport Sciences from the University of Oklahoma while employed as a student athletic trainer. She completed her Masters in Healthcare Administration & Management from Colorado State University. Christy and her husband enjoy living in Windsor, Colorado with their two sons – Orsen Allen, age 6, & Walter Aaron, age 4.
