Looking for things to do while you’re in Chicago? What’s your passion? Ballet? Baseball? Brontosauruses? Classical music? Political satire? Modern architecture? Chicago has them all. In this city, you’re sure to find attractions that match your interests, and you’ll probably develop some new ones while you’re there.
The Education Committee has compiled a list of fun and interesting things to do. Step out for a breathtaking view with SkyDeck Chicago’s The Ledge, from 1,350 feet above the ground! The Ledge offers a unique vantage point of the surrounding cityscape in glass boxes protruding from the 103rd-floor Skydeck Chicago, formerly the Sears Tower Skydeck. The Art Institute’s Modern Wing showcases the museum’s collection of 20th century works. Consider a visit to Millennium Park or ride the Ferris wheel at the Navy Pier. Find more things to do in the conference section of the ASPR website.
Are you a foodie? The Committee has also compiled an amazing list of fabulous restaurants in town! Here are just a few of their recommendations:
Frontera Grill and Topolobambo

In order to make ASPR an even greater resource to our current members and to attract new members, ASPR has commissioned Aloysius, Butler, & Clark to help us with some research and marketing assistance. Please keep your eye open for an ASPR Member Survey that will be emailed to you directly from Central Focus within the next week or so. We greatly appreciate your time in completing this survey! If you participate, you’ll have the chance to win an iPad 2!

As decisions about the particulars of the health care reform bill continue to forge their way through the Department of Health and Human Services and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, new healthcare concepts, strategies and business models continue to arise. One such emerging concept is the Accountable Care Organization (“ACO”). The ACO is defined as an organization of health care providers that agrees to be accountable for the quality, cost, and the overall care of Medicare beneficiaries are enrolled in the traditional fee-for-service program. ACO’s could transform the delivery and financial components of healthcare. The Webinar will examine the aspects of ACO development, challenges, strategies and the efforts nationally to better manage a patient population’s quality of health end expenses.
