Every in-house physician recruitment professional should have a variety of candidate sourcing tools in their toolbox. But there are so many options and so little time to assess them! There seem to be many new products available and not enough time to participate in product demos. This webinar will review several sourcing tools including databases, job boards, journals and social media sites. The presenters will discuss the features and benefits of these tools as well as potential pros and cons. The review will not be exhaustive as there are far too many tools to review and assess in one webinar, however attendees will obtain a solid understanding of a large number of sourcing tools.

Attendees will also learn what types of questions should be asked of vendors when demoing a new product in order to understand if the product will be beneficial and cost-effective for their organization. They will also learn what types of questions they should anticipate from their administration about the product so that they can position themselves well to get buy-in from these key decision makers and support to purchase the sourcing tools needed to effectively recruit physicians and advanced practice providers in today’s competitive market.

ASPR Updates Mission and Vision Statements

A mission statement is a formal summary of the aims and values of a business or organization. A vision statement identifies what that business or organization would like to accomplish. These statements explain an organization’s foundation and are important to ensure that the business or organization maintains forward momentum in its industry.

Changes to a mission and vision statement are normally kept to a minimum but sometimes modifications are necessary to keep pace with a dynamic industry. During the ASPR Board of Directors strategic planning meeting, the Board reviewed the ASPR mission and vision statements and determined that a few revisions were necessary as ASPR continues to evolve to meet the needs of its members in the ever-changing field of in-house physician recruitment.

The new Mission Statement is: The Association of Staff Physician Recruiters (ASPR) will enhance and promote the professional development of members through education, research and engagement.

The new Vision Statement is: To be recognized as the leading authority for physician/provider recruitment, onboarding and retention.

These changes allow ASPR to maintain its focus on the most valued member services and benefits, while upholding our core values of integrity, professionalism, collegiality and innovative thinking.
