ASPR Committee Spotlight: Benchmarking Committee
The Benchmarking Committee is responsible for education, promotion, and refinement of the ASPR In-House Physician Recruitment Benchmarking Survey collection tool and final report. The current Benchmarking Committee Co-Chairs are Shelley Tudor, FASPR of St. Francis Medical Group in Indianapolis, IN and Debbie Gleason, FASPR of The Nebraska Medical Center.
The purpose of the ASPR In-House Physician Recruitment Benchmarking Survey is to provide credible industry data for the in-house physician recruitment profession. This data and the final report will help an individual organization see national industry trends, understand how they compare to others in similar organizations or geography with respect to recruiter compensation, services offered, and overall performance as they move forward within the industry to improve processes and outcomes. Benchmarks are critical for our industry as we constantly strive for improved processes and results within our organizations to meet the healthcare needs within our communities.
The Benchmarking Committee has been busy over the last year or so with a transition to a new vendor and making improvements within the survey itself. The 2011 Report is now available and provides access to searchable web-based data. If you participated in the survey, you have free access to this information. If you did not, you are able to purchase access to the report and searchable data.
The 2012 ASPR In-House Physician Recruitment Benchmarking Survey will begin data collection on December 1st and will continue through the end of February, 2012. The survey will collect information on searches conducted in the 2011 calendar year. Stay tuned for more information on how to participate or visit the Benchmarking section of our website today.
