ASPR Vendor Resource Guide
Don’t forget to use the ASPR Vendor Resource Guide! The Vendor Resource Guide is an online directory designed to help you search for vendors that provide products and services you may need to assist you in your job. This “Virtual Exhibit Hall” can be searched by service category and provides you with a summary of the vendor’s service or product and the vendor’s contact information. Some of the vendors offer special discounts to ASPR members. Details regarding these member discounts are provided in the search results when available.
The Vendor Resource Guide is a paid advertising opportunity. The Guide is not intended to be a comprehensive listing or to imply ASPR endorsement of a particular vendor. If you work with vendors who provide you with excellent services that are not listed in the Guide, please consider emailing their contact information to Jennifer Metivier, Executive Director, at email@example.com.

JASPR Feature: Health Quest Medical Practice’s Onboarding Program Proving Its Value
By Gina Truhe, AASPR, Onboarding Specialist, Health Quest, LaGrangeville, NY, and John Choi, MD, Division of Surgery, Health Quest Medical Practice
Dr. John Choi joined Health Quest Medical Practice in the summer of 2011 after completing a colorectal research fellowship at the University of Southern California. Dr. Choi had not yet practiced on his own and was joining two other surgeons who were also just out of training. Our challenges with onboarding were difficult, but not unique. We needed to acclimate a new physician to our hospital, medical practice and community. He would need to be educated about all aspects of working in a private practice (markedly different from an academic setting), and his practice would need to grow quickly.
