Annual Conference: What is LA Live?
This year’s Annual Conference will be held August 11-15 at the JW Marriott at LA Live in Los Angeles, CA. Our Hollywood inspired theme this year is Mission
imPossible: Recruiting the Stars of Tomorrow. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to join your colleagues at this educational conference designed specifically for in-house physician recruitment professionals.
What is LA Live you ask? LA Live is an entertainment and sports district in downtown Los Angeles. The JW Marriott is located in LA Live and venues such as the NOKIA Theatre, Club NOKIA, The Grammy Museum, the Conga Room, ESPN Zone, Lucky Strike, and the Staples Center are just a few steps away.
LA Live venues have presented major indoor sporting events such as the NHL and NBA All-Star Weekends and ESPN’s X Games and hosted red carpet awards including the Grammy Awards, Emmy Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, ESPY Awards, American Music Awards, American Idol Finale, and many more.
There are also a variety of excellent restaurants in LA Live all within walking distance of the JW Marriott. Here are just a few of the options to choose from:
- The Farm of Beverly Hills
- Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar
- Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill
- Yard House

It is no longer sufficient to recruit and onboard physicians in organizations that are moving toward the creation of integrated systems that require significant physician engagement. In this webinar, Dr. Barber will provide the science behind effective physician engagement as well as share his experience of engaging physicians. He will explain the inner workings of the physician social network in a medical community and explore how it can be used to engage physicians.
