Association of Staff Physician Recruiters Announces Election Results

ASPR is pleased to announce the results of its 2011 election for the Board of Directors.

ASPR Members have elected Deborah Gleason, FASPR, CMSR-FMSD, to the position of President-Elect. Ms. Gleason is a Physician Development Administrator at The Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. She has been an ASPR Member for 10 years and has served on the Board of Directors as a Member-at-Large in 2010. She is the Co-Chair of the Benchmarking Committee and also an active member of the Education and Fellowship Committees. She will assume her role as President-Elect on January 1, 2011 and will become President in August, 2013.

Diane Collins, FASPR, has been elected to the position of Treasurer. Ms. Collins is a Senior Physician Recruiter at HealthPartners Medical Group in Minneapolis, MN. She has been an ASPR Member for 12 years and has served on the Board of Directors as a Member-at-Large in 2010. She is the Co-Chair of the Website Committee and an active member of the Education and Membership and Marketing Committees.

Shelley Tudor, FASPR, has been elected to Member-at-Large on the Board of Directors. Ms. Tudor is a Physician Recruiter at St. Francis Hospital & Health Centers, in Beech Grove, IN. Ms. Tudor has been an ASPR Member for five years and serves as the Co-Chair for the Benchmarking Committee.

Allen Kram, FASPR, was also elected to a Member-at-Large position on the Board of Directors. Mr. Kram is a Director of Physician Development at Health Quest, a three hospital system located in New York’s Hudson Valley and has been an ASPR Member for seven years. He serves as the Co-Chair for the Education Committee and also serves as a member of the Fellowship Committee.

With Deborah Gleason’s election to President-Elect, her term as a Member-at-Large will be vacated early. The Board of Directors will appoint Laura Screeney, FASPR, to Ms. Gleason’s remaining term for Member-at-Large. Ms. Screeney is the Corporate Director of the Office of Physician Recruitment at North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System in Manhasset, NY. She has been an ASPR Member for 20 years and has been involved with many ASPR Committees including Fellowship, Benchmarking, Regional Development, Education (for which she was a past Chair) and Journal of which is the current Co-Chair.

Members of the 2011 ASPR Board of Directors completing their second year of their term are Scott Manning, FASPR, President (District Medical Group, Phoenix, AZ), Ann Homola, FASPR, Treasurer (Eastern Maine Medical Center, Bangor, ME), and Scott Lindblom, FASPR, Member-at-Large (Dean Clinic, Madison, WI).

ASPR wishes to thank the outgoing Board Members Brett Walker, FASPR, outgoing President (Indiana Clinic, Indianapolis, IN), Marci Jackson, FASPR, outgoing Treasurer (Southwest Medical Associates, Las Vegas, NV), and Elaine Metzger, outgoing Member-at-Large (St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima, OH).
