In-House Physician Recruiters—Obtain Professional Certification
St. Paul, MN, June 18, 2013 — With an estimated 90,000 physician positions to be filled by 2020, in-house physician recruiters have their jobs cut out for them. The Association for Staff Physician Recruiters (ASPR) offers a comprehensive, authoritative Fellowship certification program for individuals seeking to develop and test their skills and knowledge on physician and advanced practice provider recruitment, onboarding, retention, human resources, and legal issues.
“Whether you are new to in-house physician recruitment or a seasoned veteran, there’s tremendous value in attaining ASPR Fellowship certification,” explains Jennifer Metivier, MS, FASPR, executive director of ASPR. “The certification modules provide an in-depth view of physician recruitment basics such as sourcing, screening, and interviewing, as well as more advanced topics such as Stark Law, immigration, benchmarking, and medical staff development plans. Certified and practicing in-house physician recruitment experts share invaluable firsthand experience with program attendees and provide resources, best practices, and cutting-edge training specific to the field of in-house physician recruitment.”
The ASPR Fellowship Program consists of three modules and exams. The modules will be presented at the 2013 ASPR Annual Conference, which runs this year from August 10 to 14. Once all three exams are passed, certification as a Fellow of ASPR (FASPR) is achieved.
