The Association of Staff Physician Recruiters (ASPR) is hosting its annual conference on August 10–14 in Tucson, AZ which will address these issues.
Conference topics highlight current and upcoming healthcare trends, as well as effective recruitment, onboarding and retention strategies. Leading experts will speak on issues such as hospital-physician alignment models, physician coaching, physician compensation models, medical staff development planning and immigration. The ASPR Fellowship Certification program will also be offered at the conference.
Keynote speakers include Mark Scharenbroich, CSP, CPAE, who will present “Nice Bike,” which focuses on recognizing people to help improve employee and team performance; and M. Tray Dunaway, MD, FACS, a general surgeon by training, who will present “Connecting the Dots of Healthcare: Better Healthcare through Mutuality.” The final keynote speaker will be M. Shane Foreman, principal and founder of 3d Health. He will present “Physician Recruitment in a Post-Reform Era,” which will call for a different type of physician, a more sophisticated physician recruitment process, and physician recruiters with new and different skill sets.
