ASPR 2014 Benchmarking Survey Opened

St. Paul, MN, January 6, 2014 — The Association of Staff Physician Recruiters (ASPR) opened its 2014 ASPR In-House Physician Recruitment Benchmarking Survey January 6, 2014. The Benchmarking Survey collects data about physician and advanced practice provider searches from in-house physician recruiters employed by hospitals and other healthcare organizations across the United States. A final report of the data collected provides credible industry information and benchmarks like percentage of searches filled, time to fill by specialty and costs associated with running an in-house recruitment department.

“Benchmarks are critical as we constantly strive for improved processes and results to meet the healthcare needs within our communities,” says Jennifer Metivier, M.S., FASPR, executive director of ASPR. “Healthcare is evolving and physician recruitment has become increasingly competitive. Recruitment departments are stretched thin and tasked with more responsibilities than ever before,” says Metivier. “We believe our annual survey helps healthcare organizations track their internal processes and gain valuable insights into the effectiveness of their recruitment processes. This allows them to identify areas needing improvement and become more efficient.”

In-house physician recruitment professionals who participate in the survey will receive free access to the final report, Organization Benchmarking Report (comparing their organization to national data), and access to the searchable data.
