Though the basics of the recruitment process are the same, rural health policy, resources and partnerships often take the recruitment process down a different course than metropolitan areas. Rural facility practice requirements, physician supply and geography are often hurdles that can become race changers for rural facilities.

Physician Recruitment Incentives & Contracts Survey - Open Until August 1

We invite you to participate in the new ASPR Physician Recruitment Incentives and Contracts Survey designed to collect information regarding physician contracts, benefits and recruitment incentives directly from in-house physician recruitment professionals. The survey doesn’t require gathering any data and should only take about 5 minutes to complete. Please participate by August 1.

Does this survey sound familiar? That’s because ASPR just published the 2014 Physician Compensation, Benefits & Recruitment Incentives Report, which collected similar data directly from PHYSICIANS. This new survey will collect the data from YOU – those who are putting out job offers on a regular basis. We plan to compare and contrast the results of this new survey of in-house physician recruiters with the data received from physicians.

You do not have to be an ASPR member to participate in this survey, so feel free to share the survey link with other non-member, in-house physician recruiters. (Note: Employees of recruitment firms are not eligible to participate.) Results of the survey will be published on our website and as always the more participation, the more valuable the data. Please participate today to contribute to our industry’s growing knowledge base!

ASPR Annual Conference Sneak Peek: Member Networking Events

One of the primary benefits of the ASPR Annual Conference is the opportunity to network with colleagues from across the country. Developing a strong network of colleagues within your profession is invaluable. In addition to the many informal networking opportunities that exist, ASPR provides two special opportunities for members to get things started: The New Member and First Time Attendee Reception and the Sunday Welcome Reception.

New Member and First Time Attendee Reception

If you are a new ASPR member or this is your first ASPR Annual Conference, be sure to attend the New Member and First Time Attendee Reception, which will be held in the Regency Room from 4:45-5:30 p.m. just prior to the Welcome Reception. You’ll be certain to meet many ASPR members who will be more than happy to join you as you explore the Exhibit Hall!

This informal reception is designed to introduce new members and first time conference attendees to some of the ASPR Leadership Team including members of the Board of Directors, Committee Co-Chairs and the Executive Director. Meet your colleagues and make some new friends you’ll enjoy spending time with throughout the remainder of the conference.

Sunday Welcome Reception

We hope you’ll be able to join us at the Welcome Reception Sunday from 5:30-7:30 p.m., which will be held in the Exhibit Hall. Enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres while mingling and networking with colleagues, sponsors and exhibitors. Catch up with old friends, and make some new ones! This is a perfect occasion to relax a little before the main conference educational sessions begin or take a nice break after attending a daylong Fellowship Certification program.

Annual Business Meeting Agenda

In accordance with the ASPR Bylaws, please find below the 2014 Annual Business Meeting agenda. The Annual Business Meeting will be held Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis in Minneapolis, Minn.

The meeting will be called to order at 2:30 p.m. CST and the agenda will be as follows:

  • Business Meeting Call to Order and Approval of 2013 Annual Meeting Minutes
  • President’s and Treasurer’s Reports
  • Recognition of ASPR Board of Directors
  • Recognition of Committee Chairs and Chapter Officers
  • Member Referral Prize Drawings
  • Presentation of Volunteer of the Year Award
  • Presentation of Outstanding Service Awards
  • Recognition of Fellows of ASPR
  • Recognition of ASPR Corporate Contributors

The business meeting will conclude at approximately 3:30 p.m. CST.
