Does Your Organization Offer Loan Repayment Assistance?

That’s sort of a trick question. ASPR members are not permitted to share contract and benefit terms with competitors due to antitrust laws. However, we often see questions like this pop up on the ASPR Chat Listserv – with many answers to follow - even though both the questions and answers are a violation of the ASPR Chat Policy. So how do you go about determining if your current benefits and recruitment incentives are competitive? To help our members get access to information on compensation, benefits, incentives and contractual issues, ASPR will be developing a number of surveys which will collect this information in bulk – and anonymously – so antitrust laws are not violated.

The latest survey – the ASPR Physician Recruitment Incentives and Contracts Survey – is now open. This survey is designed to collect information regarding physician contracts, benefits and recruitment incentives. The survey doesn’t require gathering any data and should only take about 5 minutes to complete. Please participate by Aug. 1.

You do not have to be an ASPR member to participate in this survey, so feel free to share the survey link with other non-member, in-house physician recruiters. (Note: Employees of recruitment firms are not eligible to participate.) Results of the survey will be published on our website and as always the more participation, the more valuable the data. Please participate today to contribute to our industry’s growing knowledge base!

ASPR Annual Conference Sneak Peek: The Evening Event at Seven

This year, the evening event is moving back to Monday! We will be enjoying the night at Seven — an eclectic downtown location that fuses together the classic American steakhouse, fresh sushi and a rooftop bar with a spectacular view of Minneapolis.

In grand fashion, we will be taking over two of the three levels at Seven – the Sushi Bar and Ultralounge, and the rooftop Skybar. Dine on a variety of hors d’oeuvres, sushi and pasta stir-fry, and quench your thirst with a refreshing cocktail. Whether you decide to stay inside in the cozy seating of the Ultralounge, or you head to the rooftop bar to bask in the glow of the city and enjoy a magnificent view, you’ll feel like a VIP!

The evening event wouldn’t be complete without dancing and this year will be no exception. We’ll have a DJ spinning tunes all night to keep your toes tapping! The Monday evening event is a great way to mingle with colleagues, sponsors and exhibitors. Relax, dance, eat, network and have a great time!

Reserve your seat at the 2014 ASPR Annual Conference held Aug. 23-27 at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis, Minneapolis, Minn.

We Could Use a Hand - Can You Help?

ASPR is a volunteer-led organization and we are always looking for dedicated individuals to volunteer their time. Volunteering can offer you a very rewarding experience! You’ll have the opportunity to develop leadership skills and acquire new skills and experience to add to your resume.

Currently, the ASPR Membership Committee is in need of some additional volunteers to help out with various projects. Below is a list of activities this committee needs assistance with:

  • Reviewing new member and renewal membership applications
  • Emailing and calling lapsed members to invite them to renew
  • Gathering contact information for various organizations to help promote and market ASPR membership
  • Developing membership growth ideas

If you think you could help out with one or more of these activities – please contact Jacquie Durant at the ASPR office and she’ll bring you up to speed on things. Thank you very much for considering!
