ASPR Releases the 2014 ASPR In-House Physician Recruitment Processes Report

On behalf of the ASPR Surveys Project Team and Board of Directors, we are pleased to announce the release of the 2014 ASPR In-House Physician Recruitment Processes Report.

ASPR continually strives to publish tools that will allow in-house physician recruiters to do their jobs effectively. The latest tool – the 2014 ASPR In-House Physician Recruitment Processes Report – looks at the day-to-day operations of in-house physician recruitment departments and provides a means for in-house recruiters to compare their processes with those of their colleagues.

If you’ve ever had questions about the reporting structure of in-house recruitment departments, how organizations handle candidate screening and contracting processes, or if others are responsible for onboarding and retention, then you will find this report extremely beneficial. By examining this data and their own processes, recruitment departments may identify opportunities to position themselves more competitively and reduce the time required for various steps of the recruitment process. This in turn will improve the likelihood of success and positively impact the financial bottom line.

Executive Director of ASPR Resigns

Jennifer Metivier, M.S., FASPR, has announced her resignation, effective Oct. 6 as Executive Director of the Association of Staff Physician Recruiters (ASPR).

Jennifer served as the Executive Director since June 2010, providing leadership of the organization and has been a valuable participant on countless projects. During her tenure, ASPR membership increased by 60 percent and the organization has become an industry leader during a time of great change in the healthcare industry. During this time, ASPR accomplished many successful initiatives including launching the monthly webinar series, implementing the online fellowship certification program, and developing the residency education tools available on the ASPR website.

Plans for a nationwide search are underway and will be launched in the very near future. We’ll be communicating to ASPR members as we progress with the search. In the interim, ASPR staff, Leadership and Board of Directors will continue to move forward with operations of the organization.

The ASPR Board of Directors thanks Jen for all her efforts and wishes her well in her future endeavors.

As always, feel free to contact ASPR staff at 800-830-2777 or, or reach out to any member of the Board of Directors with questions.
