Courtney Kammer, MHA
Courtney Kammer is currently the Director of Faculty Recruitment at Rush University Medical Center since 2006. Courtney is a healthcare professional with over 17 years of experience. Originally from Michigan, she received her Bachelor’s in Public Health Education from Western Michigan University and her Executive Master’s in Health Administration from University of Minnesota. During her current tenure at Rush University Medical Center, Courtney has successfully centralized the academic faculty recruitment department including both clinical and research recruitment activities to support an annual average of 110 new hires per year. She collaborates with senior leadership to enhance the recruitment process as it relates to hiring and retention strategies, budgetary compliance and search committee management. In addition, Courtney developed and implemented a new process for Chair and Dean searches within the organization to reduce utilization and costs associated with the searches. She manages and chairs an internal Faculty Recruitment Committee to facilitate approval for each search from the Dean, Rush Medical College and is responsible for all components of physician recruitment process including sourcing, interviewing, contract negotiations and onboarding of faculty. Courtney is also an Instructor for the Rush University Health System Management, Governance, Leadership and Interprofessionalism in Health Care Course. Courtney has been an active member of the Illinois Staff Physician Recruiters organization and previously held executive leadership roles within the organization throughout several years.
