Michael Griffin is a Physician Recruiter with Sound Physicians - a performance management company that partners with hospitals and health systems to operate their hospitalist programs, which now includes 1500 Hospitalists at 104 programs in 27 states.
Michael has a successful 29 year track record in healthcare human resources and physician recruitment and marketing. He has developed and managed multiple recruitment departments for health systems, hospitals, academic medical centers and managed care entities including Duluth Clinic, Mayo Clinic, Cogent HealthCare, Sierra Health Services, HealthEast Care System and Allina Health.
Michael has been a member of ASPR since 1991, serving on the board of directors for 8 of those years and as a Past President. He has held positions as the chair of the website committee, member of the education, marketing and strategic planning committees and currently co-chairs the Fellowship Committee.
His educational background includes a Masters in Health Services Administration. He is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources and has been a regular presenter in the ASPR Fellowship Program. Notable accomplishments include recruiting more than 70 physicians in a year and more than 800 throughout his career including all specialties, medical directors, department chiefs and healthcare executives.

Kate Kaegi is the Manager of Physician and Provider Recruitment for Dean Clinic, a large multi-specialty clinic based in Madison, Wisconsin. Kate has been with Dean Clinic for 34 years, and has been involved in physician and provider recruitment since 2000. Prior to working in physician and provider recruitment, Kate had a successful career in healthcare human resources, and served as President of the Wisconsin Medical Group Human Resources Association in 1999. Kate has been an active member of the Association of Staff Physician Recruiters, and the Wisconsin Staff Physician Recruiters for fifteen years. During Kate’s time as an ASPR member, she has served as a member of the ASPR Newsletter Committee (now JASPR). Kate earned her FASPR designation in 2010, and is currently a member and co-chair for the Fellowship Committee.
