  • Develop and manage media plan, recruitment events and advertising budget to maximize scale economies.
  • Evaluate and recommend innovative recruitment solutions and implement them successfully leveraging strong change management and project management skills.

Qualifications:

  • 8 – 10 years of physician recruitment experience in a for-profit health system.  Bachelors’ degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline.  Advanced degree desirable.

Senior Physician Recruiter
Baystate Medical Practices (BMP), Springfield, MA

The Baystate Health physician recruitment team is expanding! We are seeking an additional Physician Recruiter with at least 5 years physician recruitment experience. Baystate Medical Center is a teaching hospital with more than 25 residencies and fellowship training programs, and is the Western Campus of Tufts University School of Medicine.

  • Responsible for recruiting physicians throughout Baystate Health, with a focus on (although not limited to) faculty and hard-to-fill specialties
  • Works collaboratively with BMP clinical leadership, inclusive of Medical Directors, Department Chairs, Division Chiefs, Directors, Program and Practice Managers, and Human Resources staff to create and execute a comprehensive physician recruitment plan that is consistent with the immediate and long-term recruitments needs of Baystate Health.
  • Senior Physician Recruiter is the primary contact for candidates from the start of the hiring process through to orientation.
  • Serves as a liaison for graduating Baystate Health residents, fellows, and alumni with career placement questions/concerns.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Healthcare or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Requires at least 5 years of physician recruiting experience.
  • Requires knowledge of HR and personnel practices, procedures and principles, all applicable labor, pay, benefits, health and safety laws and regulations and as well as federal and state laws regarding employment practices including all applicable EEO and ADA regulations.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team, communicate effectively with various levels of staff, work under tight deadlines, follow through on commitments, ask for help when help is needed, and have fun.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service skills/customer orientation that includes responding promptly to customer needs, soliciting feedback, and responding to requests in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal customers to meet business needs. Possesses good relationship building skills.
  • Good time management, organizational and follow through skills. Ability to manage competing priorities effectively and accurately in a fast paced, high transaction environment.

Long Beach Memorial Medical Center/Miller Children's Hospital is a 741 bed tertiary care, academically affiliated medical center located in sunny southern California. Our mission is to optimize the health of the people who live and work in Long Beach and surrounding communities.

The Director of Physician Relations develops and oversees the implementation of all strategies to monitor and enhance relations between members and potential members of the medical staff of Long Beach Memorial Medical Center and Miller Children's Hospital. This includes, but is not limited to recruitment and retention initiatives, new physician orientation services, physician referral program, collaborative marketing and growth projects, communication vehicles and active outreach to physician offices promotion of hospital programs and assistance with clinical initiatives. The director will also work with senior management and service line leaders to assist in the development and implementation of a strategic physician recruitment plan to satisfy current and anticipated needs in targeted specialties.

Salary: $86,878 - $130,317

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a closely related field from an accredited educational institution.
  • 3-5 years of experience at a Manager or Director level in Physician Relations.
  • Demonstrated ability in leading a physician directed marketing/sales team to achieve results.
  • Familiarity with hospitals and physician/group practices.
  • Firm grasp of marketing, public relations and sales principles.
  • Firm grasp of the issues and challenges facing physician-hospital relationships.
  • Basic understanding of hospital clinical services.
