ASPR Annual Conference Sneak Peak: Reality Based Leadership

Registration is now open for the 2012 ASPR Annual Conference!   Here is a sneak peak at one of the keynote sessions:

Cy WakemanThe Annual Conference will commence with Monday’s keynote speaker, Cy Wakeman.  Cy Wakeman will present Reality-Based Leadership: Ditching the Drama, Restoring Sanity to the Workplace, and Turning Excuses into Results.

The business world is experiencing challenging times. The fact that times are challenging is not the source of our pain in our businesses; it is the absence of great leadership based in reality. And yet, we have worked on leadership development in organizations for more than 50 years with dismal outcomes. We must become willing to admit that the ways we have taught our leaders to lead over the years are simply not working.

These times are calling for a new type of leader. One who can bring peace, sanity, and results back to the workplace! We need leaders who are willing and able to recreate their mindsets as well as those of others, in order to change circumstances and lead in a new and revolutionary way. And the revolution begins with a few good leaders practicing Reality-Based Leadership. In this session, Cy will rock participants as she delivers new leadership tools and techniques that actually work and that leaders will actually use.

Cy is a dynamic, well-respected national keynote speaker, workshop facilitator and trainer who helps individuals and organizations recreate their mindsets so they can achieve results beyond their wildest dreams. Her unique programs help to develop and build successful leaders and teams. Her approach is unconventional, candid, and entertaining. Based on her hard-hitting philosophy, “Reality-Based Leadership™,” Cy has helped many groups and organizations break through their reasons, stories, and excuses to develop innovative solutions to long-standing issues.

Don’t miss out on this session and many more like it!  Download the Annual Conference brochure and register today for the 2012 ASPR Annual Conference!

Most typical interviews do not tell the true story about how a candidate will perform in a job. Studies have shown that the best way to predict how a physician will conduct themselves in a new position is by exploring their past behaviors. Proper behavioral interviewing can help you fully assess how candidates will react in certain situations and can help you focus your questions on the behaviors that matter most to you. We will discuss what type of questions to ask, redirecting candidates, follow-up questions and analysis.
