Academic In-House Recruiters (AIR) update – Spring 2014
Share |

By Donna Ecclestone, AIR Secretary, Associate Director, Physician Integration/Onboarding, Duke University Medical Center, Durham, NC

AIR leadership has been busy organizing great educational webinars for its members. In March, Joel Davis from Doximity presented, “Social Networking, Leveraging your Academic Brand.” His presentation included several great statistics on how to be successful in your social media campaigns. It is sure to be used as a reference over and over again. The webinar is available on demand for AIR members on our website in the Members Only section.

On May 13 at 1 p.m. EST, AIR is excited to have Dr. Kevin Grigsby, MSW, DSW, ACSW, AAMC Senior Director, Organizational Leadership and Development and Dr. Patrick Smith, Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs, University of Mississippi Medical Center present, “It Starts at the Top: Recruiting Future Oriented Top Talent Leaders.” This is a “not to miss” event and perhaps one to share with your leadership team! Additional information and registration is available on the AIR website.

Just as importantly, it’s time for AIR to celebrate its successes! AIR became the first official ASPR Chapter in February 2009 and will celebrate in style at the annual member business meeting held during the ASPR Annual Conference. The celebration will take place August 26 at 5:15 p.m. and will include a look back at our first five years, fun, food, surprises, networking and the election of new officers.

If you are interested in joining AIR, please contact Donna Ecclestone ( AIR members must be ASPR members and must have an affiliation with an academic or teaching program/facility.
