2015 ASPR In-House Physician Recruitment Benchmarking Report Now Available

On behalf of the ASPR Benchmarking Committee and Board of Directors, we are pleased to present the 2015 ASPR In-House Physician Recruitment Benchmarking Report. In addition to the downloadable report of the survey findings, several online tools are available including:

  • Snapshots of key industry indicators (both national and regional)
  • User-generated custom reports based on your specific parameters
  • A compensation calculator to predict compensation
  • Comparisons of your organization’s data to national, regional and population specific data

All survey participants receive free access to the downloadable report, your Organizational Benchmarking Report, and all online resources. The report and resources are also available for purchase by non-participants. Discounts are available when purchasing the 2015 report in conjunction with reports from previous years.

Use the report and online tools to analyze the nearly 5,000 physician and advanced practice provider searches conducted in 2014 by 126 healthcare organizations across the country. The data will allow you to easily see how your organization compares to others and will give you in-depth knowledge to be an expert resource on physician recruitment to your administration.

This presentation will provide physician recruiters the tools to develop a LEAN mindset about the recruitment process. The way you source candidates, brainstorm your plan of attack, communicate with candidates and recruitment managers and how you decide who the best candidate is for the job will never be the same again. You will learn to be passionate all over again about your job and your organization!

This presentation is about utilizing LEAN processes and methodology to enhance your physician recruitment process. The audience will learn to use LEAN thinking to accomplish the following:

  • Increase effectiveness in communication when reaching out to candidates (what an email should look like to be effective)
  • Improve time management — establish daily goals and timelines (will distribute a sample sheet to be used as a daily tool)
  • Use variety of brainstorming techniques
  • Develop a LEAN search/sourcing strategy (includes using LinkedIn)
  • Enhance working relationship with recruitment managers — ex: scheduling meetings, providing metrics to show results, expectations of when applicants will be presented
  • Create effective “intake form” and “intake session”
  • Include some negotiation challenge solutions (example: what non-monetary items you can offer as leverage points)
  • Change your mindset about your job and be passionate again — and celebrate your successes!

Have You Updated Your Bio and Preferences?

Have you recently reviewed your Member Bio and Preferences yet? We recommend that you log in to your Member Profile and review the information in your Member Bio for accuracy annually and update your Preferences from the default settings.

Your Biois located in the Manage Profile area. The information in your Bio was pulled from your ASPR Membership Application. Much of the data in your Bio will appear in the Member Directory, but you have the ability to control how much of it is visible to the public or to other ASPR members — and how much is completely private.

You may change these Privacy Settings by clicking on the lock icon next to the field. There are three choices: Public (visible to everyone), Members Only (visible only to members) and Private (not visible in profile). Some of the fields may be administrative fields and may not be editable. The information in these administrative fields will never be seen by the public or by other members. If you're unable to change the setting, it is likely an administrative field.

Privacy Setting Note: You can check your privacy settings by clicking on Public Profile on the right side of the page to see what information the public can see when they view your Member Profile.

By updating your Preferences, you can customize your Member Profile settings for various website features (Career Center, Community, Connections, Favorites, Groups, Messaging, Profile and Wall). You can turn notifications and messages on or off, and subscribe to newsletters from the Forum and your Groups. To modify your preferences, simply check the “On/Off” box next to each item to determine which notifications you would like to receive.
